Argentina's Jose "Nacho" Barbero won $30,000 PLO/NLH at the Super High Roller Series Jeju II by beating Phil Ivey in a heads-up battle and pocketing $646,000.

Barbero turned a new chapter with his recent signing with WPT Global as a Sponsored Pro. This signing comes after controversies in which he opened GTO Wizard and had poker tables running in the background while he was ACR's ambassador.

Barbero has a total live earnings of $26,158,336 (not including the latest win) and is currently ranked #1 on Argentina's All-Time Money List.

"I was running bad, so I told Dan to send me a picture of your dog that I love. I'm in love with the dog! He sent me a picture, and I started running well,"  said Barbero after the win.

Phil Ivey came second and won $448,000, but he will have to wait to pick up his sixth Triton title. Ivey has been very active this year with 12 final tables and has won over $5 million, but without a win in the event. His best placement was 2nd, and it was in this heads-up against Barbero.

The Barbero's Triumph Hand

The game was PLO, and Ivey opened with AsKsKdTd, and Barbero called with Th7d6c6d. The flop came 3h5h4d giving Barbero flopped straight, both players checked. The turn was Jd, bringing a flush draw to Ivey. Barbero led, and Ivey shoved just to get snap-called by Barbero.

Barbero was the big favorite, and only diamond could save Ivey. However, Barbero was holding two diamonds and blocking some of Ivey's outs. The tiver came 5s, and Barbero was the new Triton champion.
